finally, useful repeating tasks
The latest Things release has implemented a feature that has been lacking in every task/todo application I’ve used, the ability to easily repeat tasks only on selected days (every mon/wed/fri for example).
There have always been business related activities that I’ve needed to get done every day/every other day during the week which aren’t relevant at weekends. In all the other apps I’ve tried I’ve always been either forced to copy each task for each weekday I want it to fire on, or I’ve just not recorded the task. Both are less than satisfactory solutions.
Cultured Code developers were kind enough to offer free Things licenses to those who had donated to iGTD upon their hiring of it’s developer Bartek Bargiel. I figured I might as well give it a try as I’d enjoyed iGTD for a while and had a lot of respect for Bartek. At first I wasn’t sure if it would buy me much versus iGTD/OmniFocus, but now I’ve stuck with it a bit longer, and especially with this repeating task nirvana, I’ll be a Things user for the forseeable future.
